Title: How to deal with a Thai Sh!thead
Post by: urleft on January 04, 2013, 01:05:20 AM
Had a Thai Guy at my shop attacking another Thai.  My TG got me involved.

The problem was I did not know which sh!thead was which.

I finally sorted it out and grabbed the stupid F@@K telling him to leave.  Unfortunately a customer had been assaulted before I got there.

We have a lot of Thai guys at our shop, I very rarely have problems because I look at them like I am ready to kill them.  One pressed me to much a year ago, and I grabbed him, pressed him over my shoulders and made to though him over a wall.  I had minimal problems since then.

When I told the Sh!thead to leave, he left.  Unfortunately a customer was assualted.  I will try my best not to let that happen again.

My backup was there, but since I was not attacked she did nothing.  But I have no doubt that if someone attacks me the doberman will attack.

Most of the crisis was avoided.  I told my TG to bar that sh!thead from the store and to get me next time he comes.  No guns involved (but if he showed one that would probably his last act).

Treat him with a nice nucklesandwiche and if he reports it to the coppers, just have your missus tell them she gave it to him ... he'll be the laughing stock of the whole ampur ...  :D

Now I am beginning to understand why you need guns to protect yourself.

Indeed not Nookie, which makes it all the more intriguing as to what his shop is that attracts obnoxious people.

Urleft did say ' We have a lot of Thai guys at our shop, I very rarely have problems because I look at them like I am ready to kill them.'
Maybe Urleft should change his demeanour ...I've found if you smiley at people they smile back

We have an internet shop, our primary customers are Thais.  In the evening after 10 pm all children under 16 are required to leave.

In this case this guy can from somewhere else and started a fight with a guy in the shop.  I was in our personal living space out of the shop when my TG came and got me.  Thai guys were gathered around but started leaving when they saw me.  There were 2 thai's about 20 years old engaged in an argument, but the time I was able to get my TG to point out the agressor, the customer was down and I escorted the drunk out.

This is the 1st incident like this we have had in over 2 1/2 years.

Maybe Urleft should change his demeanour ...I've found if you smiley at people they smile back

From my experience growing up in Detroit, a smiling demeanour does not work with older teenage boys that seem to be looking for trouble.  The possible trouble makers are the ones I take note of.

Had a Swede here a few weeks ago, he is younger and bigger than me.  Some of these youngs Thais stole his cigarettes when he went to the toilet, and they tried to intimate him.  I relayed to him to change his demeanour to look like he was ready to kill them if they stepped out of line.  Two days later he told me that worked, he had no more problems.

Now if you are a young child or typical friendly Thai I treat them with respect and smile at them, especially the very young that have been told Farangs will eat them.  I often have young children come play with me.

Another problem with teen boys is that get phycially bigger that the Thai women, a few months ago one was trying to intimidate my TG, when he saw me walking over he immediately exited the area, and has not been a problem since.

We have a very good set up to include places to sit outside and covered parking for scooters and bikes.  Teenage scooter gangs like to gather, BS, smoke, play the guitar, etc.  As long as they are respectful to our customers I mostly let them.  But there are always some trouble makers, we tell these they are no longer welcome to use out shop and facilities.  There have been 4 so far, 2 have asked to come back saying they will not create any more problems.

In the OP you said 'Thai Guy's'....if you had said 'Teenagers or Lads in their early 20's' my response would have been very different
This is one time where getting yourself a gun and shooting them would be doing the whole Village/town a favour

By letting a crowd of them to gather outside ,you are inviting trouble

Have to balance things here as they are also part of our customer base.  So we work at identifying the troublemakers and ban them.  Not sure where they get the money, but have seem them come in a spend 1000 baht between them.

Wiki quote.....Shithead is an insulting term for a person that is ignorant, narrow minded, cruel, and/or unintelligent. It is generally considered to be a vulgar and profane term

Sounds like the average Village male between 16-24 to me

Tricky... I gave someone  ฿40 yesterday so that his excuse of not having money for petrol for his 'bike was no longer valid. (Please- F@@@- GO AWAY!). Of course he was back this morning, drunk, asking for  ฿3000.- to buy pigs. Luckily, BIL was watching so we sorted that out, short term. Very easy to do the wrong thing here, you have to think long term , they don't forget an insult.

I basically give money to my TG, never to a Thai off the street.  If one comes begging, I point to my TG.

A Brit and Swede felt sorry for a homeless boy, they gave him some Baht, then he followed them everywhere.  The boy was in our store every day, but I never gave him anything, some food and stuff always came from my TG.  He does not follow me around.

There is a guy in our village that is in a wheel chair with almost useless wheels.  I told my TG that if she could find a way to fix his wheels without me being known as the payer, to do so.  He still has broken wheels.

You let these Thais know you have a soft heart, they will be at your doorstep all the time.

Yes I am a cheap charlie as I never give directly to Thais.

Just because you don't give directly to thai people doesn't make you a "cheap charlie"....you are like many others in that you won't have the piss taken....but you are willing to help people in need which shows you are a generous guy....IMHO

I also told my TG that no parentless kids go hungry.

There is always a meal at my place for them.

Urleft, that is awsome.  I wish to do the same when I come there and open a small shop of some sort.  I learn a lot from you guys.  Thanks!
