Anyone got some greenbacks laying around ....

Just come back didn't cost me a cent.

Thanks mahdam. I saw that info this morning.

Indo Government were going to drop the fee but reneged at the last minute.

If entering via Jakarta, next to the Visa counter in the Arrivals walkway, there is a money change facility set up to provide $ US for the visa. Don't know what about the rate. I imagine other ports would also be the same.

This trip will be through Ngurah Rai (DPS) as we are heading up to Ubud.

I am pretty sure the exchange facility there is after the visa counter ???? so better safe than sorry.

You will find Currency exchange offices "everywhere" and rates will vary considerably, but beware these Guys as they are known for ripping you off, short changing you ect. I used this company who also have small offices everywhere. http://www.centralkutabali.com/ All legit and above board.
I enjoyed my day out in Ubud. Many Artisan workshops making all sorts of beautiful stuff. My driver called it the soul of Bali.

Your driver IMO is correct. Ubud is a beautiful part of the island :biggrin:

My only regrets about going there is when its time to go home ..... :( :( :(
