Title: Model aircraft

Anyone flying model aircraft or know of?

I occasionally see Thais with model aircrafts on what I am told is the old Buriram airfield. Going past the elephant roundabout going direction Surin, turn right at the traffic lights and instead of following the main road around to the left, take the smaller road that goes straight on. On your left is the airfield as well as what appears to be a disused football practice field (dilapidated nets and stuff) I often see guys there with planes and helicopters.

I think the "dilapidated nets and stuff" that davu is referring to, is the practice driving range for golf ... and yes, I've also seen model aircraft guys at this location.

Yes, most afternoons at the golf practice range - definitely Friday arvos. I seem to  recall a previous thread about the shop that used to be near the night market that sells the airplanes
