Title: Hi All
Post by: Brimmy on November 12, 2019, 05:15:50 PM
Just joined the forum and thought i would introduce myself.

I am from the UK and currently planning to move to Nang Rong with my TGF in March 2020.
Lot of planning going on at present.
Are there any forum members currently living in or around Nang Rong that can advise on current expat watering holes, meet ups etc ?.
I have visited Nang Rong already and know it is a typical thai town with not many farangs etc.
Have already sampled a few restaurants and the nightclub called Thunder Red. Enjoy the live bands at these places :-).

Thanks
Paul

Welcome Brimmy,
I?m afraid I have no experience of Nangrong but others may have.
Buriram isn?t bad for a night out if you can make it over with a lot of bars and of course the track and stadium. Hotels are very cheap so take a drive over, stay the night and enjoy.
Good luck with the move.

Welcome Brimmy.
I live in the Nang Rong area and find that Buri Ram  offers more nlghtlife than Nang Rong.

Thanks Tassie

Was hoping that there was a bar or watering hole in Nang Rong that is popular with expats ?.
Only really looking to hit the nightlife on a weekend so Thunder Red and other bars around there will do most of the time, with the odd trip across to Buriram also.

Try Mem"s bar and restaurant. There are always expats there, a mix of Brits and Euros.  It's a good place to make first contact and get all the local news.  Located 100 yards or so past the bus station on the left.  PM me if you wish.
