Check out this one.  A friend says good deals to be had here with good coverage.  I have contacted them but not purchased anything yet as I am not due for renewal, just shopping around.

Send a PM to Prakhonchai Nick member of this forum, he'll fix you up.
The insurance offices don't tell you that:
only one named driver
willing to pay the first ‎฿5000 of any claim
reduces the annual premium.
As with health insurance, I don't want an anonymous telephone contact as my rep. in case of need, I want someone that I have met.
Nick got me an offer saving me around ‎฿6000.- a year including tax and stamp duty, First Class insurance.
Not all insurance companies have a good reputation, Viraya and AXA seem to be well thought of.

I use Nick for my insurance also. Excellent service and good prices. Nick will look around and get you the best deal out there. The first year I I was with AXA. The second year the premium was loaded with no real explanation despite a years no claim discount. Nick found an alternative with MSIG within a day. Exactly the same cover but approx 4,000 cheaper.
A really excellent service.

Just a quickie, is there an issue when you get to the age of 70? I seem to recall some guy (on "another forum") having difficulties getting insurance, he was 72. It may be worthwhile hanging on to your already existing insurance when you get 68 - 69 as I am?

71 here; or is it 17?  Can't seem to keep that straight.  Thanks for the age comment; that well could be the deciding factor here.

I have been assured by our brokers, AA Insurance Brokers,  that there are no age restrictions/limitations applied to motor insurance.  As long as they can drive and have a valid driving licence, all is OK. They tell me they have one motorist insured who is 90.

I am more than happy to obtain competitive quotes for any member whose insurance is coming up for renewal. Anyone having had  a free insurance for 1 year with a new vehicle, is especially  likely to save a significant amount on the renewal premium quoted by the original "free insurer"
