I have been to a lot of barbers all over the world, but I have the experienced the best in Buriram.
Their sign says Barber Room on window. It is on Kumuang Rd just about 50 meters west of the Day Market. When you see the Bicycle shop, it is right next door.
For 70 Baht you get:
Haircut
Shave
Ears shaved
Nose hair trimmed
Eyebrows trimmed
and Brief Massage
The Barber working the 1st chair as you enter speaks some English.
No I do not have an interest in them, I do not even know their names. Go with a Male Barber as the Female is not as good.
I have been to 5 different barbers around town and these are the best by far.

Trimming of nose hairs and ear cleaning (not mentioned above) should be done in private! YUK!

I find the Brief Massage by Barbers a bit gay as I don't like being massaged by a man but like the Nose hair trimming service :)

Not to worry about the massage, there is no "Happy Ending"
Plus the massage seemed more about "cracking joints" (shoulder, hand and neck) than a massage. And not very strong about it.

I've found that with most barbers in Thailand you come out looking like an extra from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I have a local guy that has been cutting my hair for years out in the village where I live,40 Baht plus neck shave ,nose hair trimmed and none of that touchy stuff (http://www.smiley-lol.com/smiley/drague/gay/effemine3.gif) that some barbers like to do

I wonder which barber 'Big Ears' uses??

On my 5th visit to the shop it is finally open! redman
However the only barber was working on the third chair and would not cut my hair. I like to think that this was because he did not feel competent enough to cut my hair rather than just refusing to trim farangs.
Guess I will never know as I will certainly not waste any more time visiting the shop.

Maybe it is because you don't look like an American that will give a tip.
Just kidding. If you are not getting the sevice you expect, don't go there. Not sure why our experiences are different, but if I were you I would not go back.
They have treated me right so far, but if they do what they did to Dave, I will find another shop.

Use my barber shop I reccomended above. Very nice guy and good hair cut for a fair price. Sawadi

Since the last post on this thread was back in 2013, I wondered if anyone has any more recent recommendations for a good Barber in Buriram City. I have always used the one opposite the entrance to the Buritel Hotel. She has always been expensive at 100bht for foreigners and 60bht for locals, but have paid up in the past as it was a decent haircut. However the last time I visited she had jacked the price up to 150bht
That's kicking the ass out of it, and so will be voting with my feet and going elsewhere in future.

There is 3 in a row in Niwas road just past the small elephant roundabout opposite a large treed area, standing looking at them I used the first on on the left , it was 80 baht for a cut and shave ,
