Title: Prepaid calling cards
Post by: Bob on October 03, 2019, 06:32:29 AM
Hello all,
If you are aware of any reliable/cheap calling plans/cards to make phone calls outside of Thailand (to EU, land line), please advice.
Thanks
Bob

I had a similar issue a while back. A guy in UptoYou bar showed me this.

cannot see rates with the link provided.
in the US it was simple, just get a prepaid card for the region. Like 0.05 cents/min.
Have here the same?
Now with my T-Mobile wifi calling plan, they charge me 10 cents/min. Looking for a cheaper solution. Calls will go to a land line in Swiss

You are correct. The rates are not shown. There are numbers at the bottom of the page that you can call to check. That is what I did. Many countries have different rates. The numbers are free phone so no charge to find out.

Have Skype, talk to my friends around the world for free for many years. Skype is not cheap calling to a land line..

Hey Bob, I use Skype to call land lines to Aust. Costs about 2 Aussie cents a minute. As Bonghead said, it is rather cheap, check out it.

I used to buy little cards from the local newsagent in Aust. Very cheap. Now I just use messenger/ messenger video FREE.  All Thais have the Line App. Get a Line profile and app on your mobile and use it for free too.

I used to do the same in the US. Looks like this option is not available here.
But here I need to call from Thailand to EU land lines. I will check Skype rates.
Thanks all.

I think there is a virtual card, 12call. It has been a few years since I used it but back then it worked well. Now I use line and messenger. I can send fax on magic jack line. VoIP is available through AIS.

ok dudes, I have checked the Skype rates but confused a little.
Let's talk about mobile/land line call to Switzerland over the Skype.
Let's say the usage will be less then 2000 mins.
So how much one minute will cost (incl. every call connection fee?

The internet truly is a wonderful thing and really not that difficult to use.
