Several times I have found a scum in my fountain and thought it was dog vomit. Today I discovered the pics and now believe it is some kind of nest or egg sack.
Anyone know what it's from?
-
Hi Keith,it certainly looks like an egg sack but from what I don't have a clue
-
I'm guessing that it is a frog foam nest:

Yep, it's from a frog. They start doing that when the rainy season starts. We also have to get rid of a couple of them from our pond every morning.

Yes. I have had a couple on my pool around the ladders. Didn't happen last year but this year twice in the last week. Dint know it was frogs so now that I do, less concerning. Thanks for the info.

BTW, normally after 2-3 days my water gets greenish, I can't use chemicals as the TW stocked fish in the fountain. Five days ago I added a 36W UV algae light and it appears to be working as you can see the 5 day old water in the pics.

Well I think I found the culprit species. If you look close there are actually 2 frogs.
