Four years ago I moved to Surin and started to build an off-grid eco house. I joined the Surin Farang Forum and not long after I discovered this forum and applied to join. Unfortunately my application was not approved. I checked back a few times over the following months but no joy. Occasionally over the years I would meet people who were members and I would ask them to invite me to join. Always the answer was sure will do, but I never heard anything.
Today I got a message on another forum that recently changed it's name. The guy mentioned buriram expats and suggested I should join brick1
Anyway I tried my username and password and hey presto I got in jumping8 My profile says: Date Registered: July 04, 2019!
I live in Surin 10 minutes from Robinson - I'm a bit of an eco nut - I have 50 solar panels, a plug in electric car and an eco blog:

For those who don't know know Bandersnatch he has posted some really interesting stuff on Surin Farang.
Anyone who is eco minded will find his posts of interest.

@Bandersnatch. I wish to congratulate you on your thread. You have obviously put a lot of work into it recording the steps as you go. A very clear and interesting read easy to follow with some great tips. Lots of photos....Love it... Cheers

Thanks @Fishy and @Co-Co for the kind comments. I was looking for the like button but could only find the report button! A little worrying

Nice to see you Bandersnatch.
It was me that invited you over to this forum. I'd contacted MOD and asked him if there was a member with the name Bandersnatch and he said there was.
Good to see the confusion over your account has been cleared up. Your knowledge and experience will be valuable to some, me included.

With that level of influence Gerry, perhaps you can get Mods to add a "like" button.............................. Bandy is not the only one who would like to honour certain posts with that form of recognition.

Sounds easy but it may be over Mods pay grade

@Co-Co. Seeing as I cannot give you a thumbs up for adding a "like" button on this forum I will say +1. It would greatly help the forum out to have that option available.
-
Just a personal opinion but, I've always considered "like" buttons to be a bit lazy.
By that I mean I prefer to post a "thank you" or "I agree" with an explanation. I think it shows more effort and also adds to the topic.

@ChuckNorris. +1
