Title: VPN - someone is watching your every move
Post by: 3legdog on June 28, 2017, 03:58:02 PM

My definition of a VPN - 'Virtual Private Network' A VPN enables browsers to manage data across shared or public networks acting like a private network.

Read wiki about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network)

Afer trying so many "Try and Buy" VPN apps I almost gave it up and excepted defeat. They are just so expensive for a basic account.

I used Hoxx VPN Proxy, since it plugs in seamlessly into the Firefox Add-ons extension. It was as simple as downloading it, installed automatically and I chose a free account, randomly clicked a server and I was ready to go.

It is also availale for Chrome, and Android.

Please I would love to know what VPN you farang's are using, and is it worth your while?

I'm using ExpressVpn.  It's a bit on the pricier side, but it's the only one that can hang with my 3BB fiber connection.  The other options I tried greatly reduced upload/download speeds.

For those interested in a virtual private network (VPN) the following website may be of interest: https://thatoneprivacysite.net.  The website also has a comparison chart: https://thatoneprivacysite.net/vpn-comparison-chart/.

I seldom have the use for a VPN (mostly when I use Wifi Hotspots), but when I use it I use TunnelBear VPN.

Very fast and they have a 500MB p/m free option
