Korat/ Nakhon Ratchasima, Not in Buriram but it is the closest big city to Buriram.
Many times if you need further inspections or treatment which is not available in Buriram, Korat might be the answer for you.
Doctors are still recommending on Bangkok hospitals for some reasons but all services are available in Korat.
*Bangkok hospitals can be found here: http://www.buriramexpats.com/health/thailand-hospitals/ (http://www.buriramexpats.com/health/thailand-hospitals/)

Does anyone have any personal experience with any of these hospitals?

"Maharat" Hospital is a government hospital.
This hospital is considered to be in good standard, long waiting list, etc.. all same as most government hospitals.
"Korat Memorial Hospital",Private hospital.
personal experience there, good service, look clean, kind Doctors speaking English and Medical equipment equivalent to most private hospitals in Bangkok.
Significantly cheaper than ALL Bangkok private HOSPITALS.
If its simple medical procedures I tend to believe they are trustable.
"Bangkok Hospital Korat".
Private hospital and part of the "Bangkok Hospital" network.

Not personally but most people ,(farangs) seem to use St Marys or Bangkok Hospital,,,,The bangkok Hospital is quite expensive if you don't have insurance

I used St Mary's first when I had Dengue Fever. It took me an hour plus to get there with a fever. They kept me waiting about 2 hours before deciding that they didn't have my blood type for a transfusion. Very kindly they phoned Bangkok Hospital who agreed to admit me. It wasn't until after I was admitted that the also said they didn't have my blood type. So I spent 3 days there on a drip and not getting the transfusion that I needed. On top of all that the food was horrible and always served cold.
Just for information. I needed some warts burning off and found that there is no hospital in Buriram or Korat that has a laser to do this.

Thanks for the info about wart removal....Why not use the tried & tested way of removal...stick a tip of a lit cigarette on them,,,,,unless of course they are around your genitals
