Title: Iphone repairer
Post by: Phantom on May 29, 2017, 05:19:00 PM
Hi, just wondering if anyone knows of a decent IPhone repairer. My wife used an after market car charger ( yes, I do know the implications of her action). It worked for a while then suddenly her battery got very hot. It then shut down by itself.Tried all the methods from Apple website but no joy. Probably a fried battery and / or connector. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had my wife's iPhone Battery replaced at Studio 7 in Robinson. They are Located on the second floor on your right in one of those regular shops.

They did a decent Job and what I recall it was not expensive, but YMMV.

Edit: Here a link with a Phone Number. https://goo.gl/AObmR6

Just a update on iPhone repair. I mistakenly took it to ICare just outside Studio 7 thinking it was the same shop as it has authorised iPhone repairer sign. He piggy backed a new battery on top on the old now disconnected battery and it started to get very hot too. He said he would have to pull it all apart to find the problem. A week later and 3000 Baht, it was like new again. My wife wanted to toss it.(2 year old iPhone 6) He kept us in the loop as he tried to fix it. Excellent service. Found out that ICare has the recommendation from Apple to fix things. Moral of story, don't use cheap car phone chargers from 7Eleven.
