Just a reminder lads that the 2018 Buriram Marathon is on Sunday 11th February.
42km main marathon starts 4am Chang International Racetrack.
There are 4 runs all happening at the same time.
1 - Marathon
2 - Half Marathon
3 - Mini Marathon
4 - Fun Run
All competitors will be finished, and technically off the course, by 11am at Chang Arena.
There will certainly be road closures around town and Chang Arena.

Results of the Buriram Marathon, held on 11th Feb. Once again, Kenyan athletes took home most of the prize money. How come Kenyans are such great long distance runners ?
42.2km marathon had 3581 competitors. Kenya-Kenya-China-Thai
21.1km half marathon had 3695 competitors. Kenya-Kenya-Kenya-Kenya
10km run had 3473 competitors. Kenya-Thai-Thai-Thai
An unknown number of mums, dads and kids participated in the 5km fun run.
Kudos to the organisers for attracting nearly 11,000 official competitors. Great publicity for Buriram, and a nice little tourism earner.
As an aside, the lady next door to me vacated her modest 2 bedroom home for 2 nights (she went to her mum's house), and rented the house out to 6 visitors involved with the marathon.
What did she receive ? 4000 baht cash per night, kop khun khup. 8k is a nice little earner for 2 days in anyones language. thumbup
