Title: Funeral Costs
Post by: Freddy on December 03, 2016, 07:43:05 AM
Guys. I realise this is a very random question and that there can be many variables.
What would be the budget for a average village funeral. Forget ten food and drink as this obviously depends on number attending but what about the more fixed costs like casket, cremation and temple costs.

You can put the last three on the same list as the food and drinks.

All are totally variable. I have been to a funeral that clearly cost only a couple of thousand baht. I have also been to one that was over a million.

Where I am in Lamplaimat at the local temple :

Big house for the bones -13000
Place in wall for bones -5000
Land for house for bones 5000
Cremation - best I can get is '3000 but not sure'

Grandma has 50000 set aside for her funeral and she already has house for bones.
