Hi guys,
This place is THE PLACE where all the young Thai people are going after disco/night out in the bars.
Its a good cheap alternative to the other more expensive restaurants operating on these hours (23:00pm-2:00am).
You can get a "Katom" (Rice soup) with pieces of pork, some garlic, and boiled egg.
Its hot, fresh and healthy.
10 Baht without egg.
15 Baht with egg.
party8

Location:
Bulamduang road, Buriram city.
*If you're coming from Thani road, turn right in bulamduang road and you'll see the place on the right side.

"Kotiyao", Thai Noodle soup is probably the most popular Asian dish all over the world.

Its taste different from place to place but you can always fix it to match your flavor/taste with the add on spices and FISH SOUCE !! crazydance
Just add little bit from everything to the noodle soup, taste until you're satisfied. jumping1

There are few popular noodle "Kotiyao" kinds:

"SEN MI" = Very thin noodles (Thinner than "Sen Lek").

"SEN LEK" = The thin no color noodles.

"BAMI" = The yellow thick ones (See in the picture).

"SEN YAI" = The wide white color noodles.

Popular kinds of soups of Thai noodle dishes:

*Usually come with regular chicken soup and than you build the taste with the spices you add to the soup.

"Tom Yam" = Tom Yam noodle flavor.

"NAM TOK" (Water Fall) = Add Chicken BLOOD into the noodle dish.

*In the picture, "Kotiyao Bami".

yet another version of "Katom" (Rice soup)..

Usually katom is with thicker soup and the rice is being boiled for a long time until the rice split into pieces and merge together with the soup.
This one is different as you can see, the good thing is the pork pieces and even bones are so soft you can eat them easily.

Nice. yum1

Khanom bueang

Khanom bueang (Thai language: ขนมเบื้อง) known as crispy pancakes in English, is a popular form of street food in Thailand.
They resemble tacos, but are made from rice flour rather than corn flour.
Khanom buang are usually first topped or filled with coconut cream, followed by sweet or savory toppings such as shredded coconut, strips of fried eggs or egg yolks, or chopped scallions.

This kind of sweet is also popular in neighboring Cambodia.

The Ultimate Thai dish!!  iconurgent

There is no Thai to be found that does not like SOM TAM (Papaya salad), this is a spicy salad made of green papaya.

Som tam or som tum (Thai: ส้มตำ, pronounced [sôm tam]) also known as tam bak hung (Isan: ตำบักหุ่ง, pronounced [tam bàk hùŋ]) is a spicy salad made from shredded unripened papaya.
Som tam is derived from a traditional dish in Laos called tam mak hoong.

There are so many kinds of Som Tam, I can only count few of them:
Kratiyam (with Garlic).
Taley (with sea food squids).
Poo Pala (with Crab).
Tam Pa ( mix of everything).
Tam Suat (with noodles inside).
Tam Tai (with peanuts).

Usually Thai like to eat Som Tam with rice or sticky rice (kao niyao) and deep it into the salad juice to get the spice... here in the pictures I show you "kao niyao ping" grilled sticky rice and "kab moo" crispy pork skin.
Hot Kao niyao is great to eat with Som Tam

*Don't forget to keep drinking water on the table, just for any case.. hehe..  steamingMad

"Ice cream kati" ไอศรีมกะทิ / Coconut milk ice cream with bread.

Price: 10~ Baht.

Very tasty, light Ice cream in Coconut flavor, usually made in 2 kinds of flavors:
Coconut and Chocolate, but it can be any ice cream, usually comes with SWEET STICKY RICE UNDER THE ICE CREAM!  jumping8

On top comes roasted peanuts, Yellow Soy beans, you can change/add chocolate sauce as well.  thumbup

Usually sold by people going around the streets/villages using Carts/Bicycle/Motorbike..

Thai people love to eat Ice cream in small buns like you see in the picture, I have to admit its little bit odd in the first time but when you get used to it, you will find it wonderful combination, especially when you take bite of both together, the bread breaks the cool shock of the ice cream.

Why do Thais eat papaya and mangoes (thanks, Dan Quayle) unripe for preference?  Some eat them ripe, but in my village I've had problems giving away ripe papaya, and I have problems keeping the mangoes on the trees until they're ready for me to eat.  I suppose it's just a matter of taste... or impatience.

Food in the Village is always more tasty than the city, part of the reason is that many times the food is being cooked on an open fire and not on gas, the chicken is usually being killed just a moment before the meal might be the reason also..  whistle

Salted, Grilled Fish (Tilapia) in Thai, Pla Phao, Pla Pow, Pla Nin RECIPE:
Salted and Grilled Fish stuffed with Lemongrass
ปลาเผา
Pla Phao, Pla Pow or Pla Nin (Tilapia or Nile Perch)

Prepare:

1 tilapia fish. *Can use any other gentle tasting fish available in the market.
1/2 cup rock salt.
1/3 cup wheat flour.
1 group of lemongrass.
2 pandanus leaves.

Sauce:

2 table spoons of minced garlic.
2 table spoons of minced chili pepper.
1/2 table spoon of sugar.
2 table spoons of lemon juice.
2 table spoons of fish sauce.
1 table spoon of hot water.
1 table spoon of minced coriander root.

Cooking Instructions:

1. Clean the fish very well. Open its stomach and throw away the inside parts and clean.

2. Crush the lemongrass and pandanus leaves. Fold and tuck it inside the stomach.

3. Mix wheat flour and salt together. Add 3 table spoons of water.

4. Cover all over the fish with the mixed.

5. Grill the fish. You should check it often because cooking time is vary, depending on the fire heat you make.

6. If the meat is still clear, the fish is not ready yet. The meat should be totally white color but make sure the meat is still soft.
When you over cook it the meat will be hard and it doesn't taste sweet at all.

7. Mix the sauce ingredients all together and add more or less chili spices as you like. Then, dress it with mint or coriander leaves.

Bon Appetit. sawadi

Preserved mango dessert is a type of appetizer.

Look like a thin sheet, the color is quite clear out yellow or brown with yellow.
Tough enough.
Flowers make a circle or a spiral coil, etc. making mango Guan is one of the methods of food preservation since ancient times.

Recipe:

Bring fruit to stew cooked with sugar mixture (or without sugar as the mango is sweet enough).

Stir in the mango stew and taste. Add sugar if desired.

Dry the stew in the sun and process it to thin pieces, roll it into pieces and eat.

Bon Appetite! :)

Benefits:

1. The life of mango. Can store for longer time and eat all year around.

2. Natural mango. Same color, odor, taste no different from eating a mango in general.

3. Adding value to the product and create additional revenues for farmers/producers.

Thai Fried Rice Recipe (Khao Pad)

In Thai we call this dish Khao Pad.
Khao means rice, and Pad means to fry.
Rice is the main export product of Thailand, and has a history of cultivation going back thousands of years. The word for meal in Thai is Gin Khao which literally means eat rice.

Fried Rice is very easy and fast to make, this dish is considered fast food in Thailand and is always an option when you want to make something quick, easy and good.

Everyone makes fried rice a bit differently, so feel free to experiment with different ingredients that you have in your fridge.
This recipe is vegetarian but you can add chicken, pork, shrimp, or tofu.
You can also add vegetables such as carrots and broccoli. Experiment with what you like.

There's even a variety in Thailand called American Fried Rice that's make with ketchup!

Recipe (1-2 persons):

Preparation time: 10 minutes.
Cooking Time: 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

2 cups of cooked rice.
1 Tomato.
3 tablespoons of oil.
2 tablespoons of soy sauce ('Miki sauce').
1 teaspoon of black soy sauce.
2 eggs.
1 small onions.

Easy dish and tasty! thumbup
