Title: Today's Moan
Post by: dimple joe on March 05, 2017, 08:51:38 PM
Poxy washing machine gave up the ghost today.

Bloody Samsung crap.

Only had the thing for nine and a half years.

18k for a new one.

Always a bummer when you get that unexpected expense. We bought a 55 inch LG flat screen TV at 40,000 when I first moved over here. Lasted 13 months so very conveniently 1 month out of warranty. Replaced with a Samsung which has so far lasted 16 months.
We've also got a Samsung Washing machine. I pray for 9 years.

It was probably a good job that  (as a financially astute Brit) you had been salting away 150 baht a month, by way of depeciation, in the anticipation that nothing lasts longer than 10 years!!

Have you actually checked to make sure it is out of warranty ??

Kick a bloke when he's down why don't you.

DJ .... maybe completely clogged up with bits of lame or lycra ?  :P

I'll have you know that my underwear is of the highest quality, neither the gold lame nor the lycra are likely to shed fluff and none of the more flimsy lace items have been lost in the machine.

Of course I have; but a recent Thai lottery win of a massive 2000 Baht means I have not needed to delve too far into my savings.

Warranty? T.I.T.

I say again, Bastards

New machine installed this morning.
Simple job; unplug old one, plug in new (both Samsung).
Electric, water and waste. 10 minutes tops.
Not a chance.
An hour and fifteen minutes.
My darling wife chose a unit which unbeknownst to me requires a heavy duty power cable, a separate earth and a different water connector.
All done in a very professional manner; well done Home Pro.
Nothing to moan about now.

Yet another round of golf at Khao Kadong ruined.

I have come to accept the "Buriram Bounce" which throws a good drive off into the forest.

However, a perfect approach shot where the ball thuds to a halt in the 6 inch wide mini bunker strung like a necklace around the green, is taking the proverbial.

Given that I usually play like a Stroke Victim, perfect approach shots are few an far between so to be thwarted by this unnecessary feature is more than bloody frustrating.

I think the second accusation is a banning offence.

Unfortunately, the first (rather like defamation/slander etc) holds no water as it is clearly based on truth!    thumbup

Maybe in a real country but TIT

And another thing; I just noticed my Avatar has gone missing, seems there is no way to replace it, you and Smoothie both have one, it's just not fair.
