 cool1 Can anyone tell me if there is a satellite Internet service available in Buriram. We are wanting to get connection so my wife can skype with her family. If so what would be the cost,

Where are you located in Buriram province.

Nowadays there is Fiber which is being connected to many villages (even the remote ones) which you can subscribe to at around +/- 700 THB per month. (Just ask around maybe it?s already around where you are)

Sat internet very expensive and very slow, alternatives are WiNet (Wifi via a receiver on top of a large tower in your garden) but I believe that is being phased out and 3G/4G via your phone provider (they have unlimited packages available now)

My wife's village in in Pla Pla Chai area, There is a school nearby so they may have it I will see if they can find out about the Fiber,

Pla Pla Chai has cable in some places. Near a school is one of the most likely places to have it.

If you only want a connection for Skype, I would recommend to use a 4g Sim from AIS.
