Why not just plan better? My wife did her own application. No fees paid to agents. Visa back in 11 days.

Have to agree with Starman. It's a lot of unecessary money to pay out for what is actually a relatively simple process. Many agents like to give the impression they have jumped huge hurdles and that it would be near impossible without their service. It's not. I assisted my wife in 3 applications for UK, and trips to France during. All granted.

Yes sorry Geoff, but have to agree with Starman and Freddy. We did it twice on our own.Once you have all your ducks in a row, it's a very simple thing to do, and at minimal cost.

HI all thanks for comments
For the last couple of years i had talked to so many people about  getting  a visa for uk
many people have been declined even when married and had a Thai baby
obviously there must have been reasons
I think i  posted something on  BEP and was advise
Because my lady did not work and did not own land i had no chance even though she had a son
even when i contacted agents in patayer that want a fast buck they where not interested because of above
so where i respect your views
I felt i had to go the best way i could to get a positive result as quick as possible
and thankfully we now have with our  first application
Best wishes geoff

Geoff. Now your young lady has finally got her Visit Visa, it's now irrelevant as to how you managed to get it.
The important thing is, she has it, congratulations. I hope she enjoys her stay over there, and wish you every happiness for the future.

A bit late on parade but Thai Widows & Expats do straight forward UK visa applications for 16,000 Baht. For subsequent applications the fee is reduced to 12,000 Baht as much of the static data is already held.

As Starman said, anyone with a bit a of a clerical mind can do it. Many good examples of Thai Visa.com (if you cut through the crap).

Essentially you need to provide evidence to the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO)  that you have a genuine relationship and genuine reason to visit the UK. You also need evidence of enough funds to finance the visit. Finally, and often the tricky one is 'reasons to return'..... the ECO must be satisfied that on the 'balance of probability' the applicant will return to Thailand at the end of the visit. As was suggested above, just having kids doesn't tick the box.
