Title: Doctor / Clinic for bloodtests
Post by: iammike on October 14, 2014, 01:18:07 PM
It's almost that time again to have a blood-test done, Cholesterol, Sugar etc (so the normal / generic stuff)

And I want to do it this time when we are going up to Buriram this coming week.

Can anyone recommend a (affordable) Clinic (preferable no hospital) or even a Laboratory in Buriram / Krasang where you can have this done. If you have the GPS coordinates that would be even better ;)

Thanks in advance.

Somewhere in Surin could also be an option ;)

Thanks

There is a doctor who has a clinic opposite where Pizza company used to be.

That is the road that leads from the Bangkok bank towards the train station. I believe he is 3 or 4 shops down from where The Brain learning centre is.

If you can get there at 7am he will take the blood, take it to the government hospital (where he also works) and will get the results back to you the evening of the same day. I'm sorry but I don't know the doctor's name.

Starman,

that would be perfect.

Could you maybe post a Google Maps link where that approx is, as I am absolutely not familiar with Buriram.

Thanks

Edit: If you look at the Picture am I close to where the shop is ?

Sorry but my internet is a bit slow and google maps taking ages.

From what I understand...... from your point "A" you need to walk towards Nivas Road.

The clinic is on the right hand side of the road where you are, just before you get to the NIvas junction.

Sorry for the long wait, but I finally had time to go and my blood checked.

A load of tests done (can tell you exactly how many when I get the results), but the price was 1570 THB. At first I thought expensive, but I will again know what exactly has been tested when I get the results.

The reason why I don't know because my missus just said "test everything", but I only know that the following is tested for sure, the rest what is being tested not

Blood sugar
Liver
Kidney
Cholesterol
Heart
Urine

Will report back

Mart, I went to the clinic you mentioned. Directly across from main entrance to speed and right next door to beauty shop that has large pink sign on the building. The lady there was very nice. She speaks pretty good English -she knew what I meant when I said PSA.  She was pretty painless with the blood draw too. In and out the door in 10 minutes.

Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Test.

I assume that is what DeputyDavid meant by PSA.

Ekachon hospital often run offers for EKG, blood tests etc

As the thread is about blood tests, I get mine checked every 2 or 3 months down in Naklua; the clinic there charges 500 Baht and covers cholesterol, kidney function, liver function, acidity, triglycerides and blood sugar.

Co-Co is that Loma Clinic on Naklua Road ??

I know there is a Lab near 3rd Road and the overpass to Bali Hai and they are quick and also very cheap, they even send you the results via Email if you ask them.

I think I also have to go to Pattaya to get my Blood tested !
