What road tax do you pay for a trailer(like you do for a back box)?
-
Thai law requires that ANY trailer have brakes if it is to be licensed. This in part explaines why you don't see any small trailers on the road, even though all pickups are drilled out and ready to receive a tow bar. I chose not to put brakes on my trailers because of cost and lack of suitable parts in Thailand. Thus they cannot be licensed and thus no road tax. We visited DMV Buriram and was told the trailers were OK for local use without a license, but not cross-country trips.
