You got a good deal as I just checked and room rates are currently 637baht++ and go up to 750++ in November when we plan to travel.  Let me know if they have any better pricing for dealing with them directly if you are still there.  Thank you so much!

They had a card at reception that read : 600 thb no breakfast and 870 thb with breakfast so I don't think they would change the rate as it seems busy - still worth the money though I would say - I've stayed in a few of he hotels in Buriram and this for me is the best value ( with a pool )

Very nice coffee + ice cream.

A quality place with half decent service. Well presented. The owners know what they are doing. It is not that well signed but is easy enogh  to find on the Pizza Pasta Sporys Bar road behind the railway station.

Hotel looks great. They must be getting good business. The rates on Agoda are now 750 for Standard and 1,350 for Superior Garden view. And these prices are without Agoda's commission.

Did you know that many a times Agoda's prices and commission turn out to be more expensive than what is offered on hotel's webpage? I have seen it a fair few times and now opt to go directly to hotel's page wherever possible.

Keith there are many more times when Agoda rates are better than going direct.

I have tried to negotiate with the hotel (saying I am a regular user) but they rarely give rates better than Agoda.

Uhmmm...Are you talking to Keith??

Yes. You are right. Sometimes agoda can be cheaper. That's why it may pay to check. For example. I booked Amari Don Meaung doe 1,750 baht per night (pool side room) and it showed little bit more on agoda and agoda's fee on top of it. Same I found for Furama and Avana.

You can save 5% on top of agoda prices fromn agoda's website by using one of their reseller's code e.g. using http://www.agoda.com/?cid=1473417 will save you 5%. You can check it yourself.

The Klim Hotel is fast becoming my favourite restaurant in Buriram town.

Having eaten there about 6-7 times in recent months, I must say their menu is extensive, the prices very reasonable, the staff are friendly and attentive, and of course ... the whole reason for going there in the first place ...

the food is absolutely superb !!   Big accolades to the chef.

The meals are cooked to perfection, beautifully presented on the plate, and served by smiling staff.

The menu is written in Thai and English, with many nice photos. Most of the drinks are served in a jar, instead of a glass, which was a complete novelty for me at first.

Anyway ... try the Spaghetti Carbonara ... sensational !!  130 baht.  Yes ... I know it's a Western dish ...

The Thai food on offer is also delicious. The Klim is located almost opposite the Railway Station on the Hospital side of the tracks.

Hi Simon. I agree with you about the price. It's certainly not the cheapest restaurant in town, but I'm happy to pay a little extra for consistently terrific food & friendly smiling service.

The "concrete look" in the restaurant is a bit weird. Some nice ceramic floor tiles would look speccy.

Yes I agree the food is very good.
I wasn't criticising just giving my opinion.
If you are happy with the standard of food and the price you pay and you have enjoyed your evening then all is well.
I also think the food is good but a  little pricey for Buriram.
One doesn't mind paying a little over the odds, if one has enjoyed the the evening with family  or friends.
Hope you continue to enjoy your food there.
