I booked a month in advance and arrived with my 4 young children to find they had let out our rooms, even though we had confirmed them two days before arrival .
They didn't seem to give a hoot!
We stayed at paradise resort instead and it was fine

F1ART....did you have a email confirmation of your original booking?

Or was it done over the 'phone?

Have read quite a bit about Hotels / Resorts that do this.

Obviously not good business as you probably would never stay there again. As well as telling everyone about the poor service.

We go to a place in Hua Hin on a regular basis, and have been doing so for years. We know all of the staff and the owners. But I still email a booking request and insist on a booking confirmation every time we go.

You only have to look at websites like Tripadvisor and read some of the reviews to see that this bad business practice happens too often.

I think what Admin meant with his DEJA VU! post was that the same thing had happened to him ????

Have stayed here and found the rates to be reasonable...
The free breakfast is rice soap or you can pay for some think else.
The rooms are small with a Thai style bathroom...
There is a pay one night in advanced request to lock in a booking a short drive out of town tucked in behind BigC

A friend told me there was a problem with the piranhas from the Amazon.

However, I'd much prefer the " Free trip to Khaokradong Hill"....a must see in Buriram Province.

Probably the only place worth visiting in Buriram itself!

That song "Climb Every Mountain" from "The Sound of Music" must be getting to you Nick.
Why not take on a real challenge like HimaLayLasses??
