I understand 'Delboys' Fish & Chip shop has recently opened. Its situated on the opposite side of the road to the Government Hospital .Has anyone been yet??
-
I'll have a look tonight. A major problem is finding a place for the car down there and the traffic is terrible.

-
Cheers Nookie I'll give it a try then

Too much traffic, I turned away and didn't see the shop. 16.30 isn't a good time to go down there.
-
Opposite side of the road is plenty of space and their is even a soi opposite were you can park.. The yellow sign is on the roof of the shop not on the floor.. It's far enough down the road away from the crazy traffic..

Have been past the shop twice now looking for a fish n chips feed.
5.30pm first time was closed. I thought "oh ... maybe he doesn't open on Sunday. No problem."
6pm last night ... closed again. This time I saw his "footpath advertising board" tucked away safely behind the closed glass door.
It read ....... OPEN 9am - 5pm
Whilst I 100% respect any shop owners' decision to make his own hours, and have a life ... 5pm closing for a Fish n Chippery seems way too early.
Seems to me that the owner may be missing out on a lot of potential early evening trade by closing at 5pm.

He was opening until 23-00hrs but decided it was a waste of his time staying open after 17-00hrs.His evening trade was almost non-existant,

I have been told that the "fish and chip" format shop has not worked out and that it is to be rebranded as a cafe.
-
Think I hear somebody singing "Turn out the lights, the party's over"
