I hope they don't enforce it like they are doing around Rangsit.

Some bars in Sissaket and KhonKaen have had visits. They have also had it confirmed that the new rule does not include primary or secondary schools, only higher education institutes.

It's does seem like this new law has been rushed through without any thought .Surely there are laws in place already that should stop underage drinkers and if they were to enforced that law then this new law wouldn't be needed.
Could be loads of new Tea Money coming in the BiB's direction   biggrin1

Just think of all the businesses selling alcohol across the street from Rajabhat  University just north of the Elephant circle, or the mom pop stores within 300 meters of the "fence".  Not to forget at least three 7-11s.   I also seem to recall there being a local liquor store near the old circle.

Looks like some local Thais can really be affected.

There are also 2 "Farang" bars within the 300m zone.

And will the Surin Farang Community Forums get-together next month have to be moved to a new venue as The Office is at the back of the Rajabhat University :(

As hard as I try I can only get it 370 meters from the uni.  :P

Here is a visual approximation of the "exclusion" area.  And while Best Western is in that area, they are exempted.
