Title: Opening hours
Post by: silver on October 21, 2014, 11:00:51 PM
Back in Buriram end of next week and was wondering what time the restaurants and bars have to close by? And what time does the curfew start?

You are asking a silly question I'm afraid. What curfew? I don't know when bars have to close, I have been sitting until 2 o'clock in the morning in a bar and didn't see any signs of people going home in droves

My deepest apologies for asking a silly question! I am obviously ignorant about what is current in Buriram at the moment and was under the impression that bars etc. shut before 2pm in the morning! I somehow doubt this is the norm!
Anyway happy days!

As I recall back in the spring during coup there was a curfew, however, things are pretty much back to "normal".

As far as the resturants, there is no one time.  Big C opens at 0900 and Teweekit at 0930.  I think they close about 9 or 10 pm.  So that is kind of the normal.

Thanks for the reply Urleft. I knew that the tourist areas had gone back to normal but wasn't sure about Buriram.
