If your friend visits the "Tax Office" in Buriram, the staff is most helpful. They have a web site in Thai. Paying the employers withholding tax on employees is crucial. Having social security payment deposits made properly on employees is crucial. Paying Thai income tax is most handy to obtain real credit lines with selected suppliers let alone a Thai bank with reasonable interest rates. VAT payments not made can lead to fines.
