All government offices will be closed this coming Thursday (Mar 1) as Thais all across the country celebrate Makha Bucha day. The sale of alcohol is banned by law on this day.

I didn?t specifically see village shops mentioned on that list Smithy.....

As I don't drink on a regular basis I'm not bothered, I think our Village shop will be dry but I'm sure the hardened drinkers will be stocked up  party9
