Looking for a good electrican
« on: May 24, 2017, 07:56:22 PM »
Hi guys, I have a little convenience store with a studio apt in back, store is about 7m x 7m , same for apt. It was built by my gf's uncle, worst mistake in my life, unfortunately I wasn't there during most of construction. Having problems with breakers overheating and caused a small fire the other day. It has 30 amp service, but we have 2 coolers, ice cream freezer plus computer, fan and lights in store plus air con, fridge and cctv in apt.
I'm thinking we need more amperage or something is wired wrong, had a couple of local guys look at it but they are only good for minor problems, ideally I'd like to rewire the whole place, open up the drywall ceilings and run conduit. I know almost nothing about electric and was hoping you guys would have some info, we live about 5 miles south of I-mobile stadium right off main road heading towards Prakhon  Chai, thanks  in advance .

Possible Ruangsangthai may be able to point you in the right direction. Also worth a look around whe they are building any new housing projects. Look for where electricians on site are running proper conduit, breaker boxes and surge protection etc.....if your job is smallish they may well be interested in some cash work on the side evenings/ weekends etc.......

I'm back in the states right now , good idea about Ruangsangthai, think I'll send girlfriend up there to talk to them, they helped me out with a plumbing problem a couple of years ago, good people in there👍

There is a very good young electrician (his name is Nut) in Ban Yang I have used for several things including rewiring to house when three phase power was available to our pole (though we only use two phase power we had to replace the aluminium wiring with copper). I was fortunate to have a retired Australian industrial electrician staying with me at the time and he was impressed with the work. The chang also fixes water pumps, TVs, fridges, etc. His brother does lots of small building work out of Rueangsangthai and is also a good worker. Let me know if you need contact details.

Sure, would love his contact info, if he doesn't mind coming to Hua Wua, about 15 minutes south of Buriram, always doing something around the place, thanks!

Hello Bry ,

Just to let you know that according to the pics , the heat came from the cable connector .
It's loosing at the L phase but not much at N neutral.
Make sure that it's still tight every month .
If it's loosing again don't worry , just tight again .
Sorry to let u know so late ...but it is not too late to check all the screws from your  electric panel box
