Holiday in Koh Chang/Trang
« on: November 19, 2016, 12:46:01 PM »
After spending more than enough time away from my family in Kaset Wasai,( It will be 12 months since I have seen my wife and little boy 2 y.o.) I have decided it's time for a holiday. The other half has suggested she would like a holiday in Koh Trang. I have never been there before and only have knowledge from what I see on the Internet. We are looking at taking holiday about March next year 2017, as explained to me travel over the Christmas and New year period from Australia can be fairly costly. If anyone can suggest the not so expensive travel plans from Bangkok to Koh Chang and possible a recommended stay for accommodation it would be appreciated. If any one has knowledge of the area please do not hesitate to post me information. I think I need a holday too working in the Pilbara at 46 degrees can drive you loopy  moneysmile  newbie

I've been to Koh Chang. I liked it. Very laid back and not over- developed. Easy to get to with good ferry services. You can go as foot passengers or take your car. I took car so was able to drive around most of the island.
Can recommend Seaview resort and spa. Very good food, family orientated and nice enough beach.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but where is Koh Trang. Google maps does not recognise this place. Maybe a typing error ?

Think they meant "Koh Chang, near Trat" in the SE area of Thailand; as Trang is down south, past Phuket.  Both are great to visit.  Trang area does have almost 50 islands in their area, as well.

Nice quiet beach. I have stayed there and Mam Kai Bae too. That was good value.
