MultiLingual Robots can help customers in a Buriram Hardware store
« on: September 11, 2016, 09:04:49 PM »
I have been told by customers that some modern trade stores seem to have too many store clerks without specific product knowledge. Another issue I have attempted to address is to hire bilingual staff and at least one native English speaking retail manager. At the top of my list of places to visit on my business trip to the United States is at least one Home Depot Store and one Lowe's Home Improvement Store. Already I am keen to see how multiligual robots could be of customer service in Buriram to expats who build a home in Isaan.  As many Buriram expats understand I have employees, not sub contractors, who install water pumps of all sizes. This photo was taken last week at a rock quarry in Buriram where over eight days my employees installed some heavy duty equipment. Please watch the attached video and let me know if Robots who understand several languages would be an improvement in the shopping experience in Buriram Thailand.

Dave, you have "hit the nail on the head" regarding a "phrase" that crops up all too often from shop clerks in Thailand. A better answer from my store staff is "may I check and would you like to special order if it is available at a fair price in Thailand?"   I can guarantee you prior to boarding my flight to the USA, that the robot will understand and speak Spanish and English in the USA.  The robot to assist customers in a store in Thailand might not happen in my lifetime due to the cost of imported technology to Thailand.
Today Hyundai Power Tools arrived at Ruangsangthai. The importer called Korean Power Tools is sending a "PC" or "product consultant" to assist customers in my family owned Buriram Hardware store. The video of this company gives a clue to the tawdry marketing aimed at men in Thailand. Buriram Expats would never consider a Rowel MIG welder or Hyundai High Pressure Washer based on a promotion such as this.  I will be sure to warn expats when these sort of female show models are coming in a booth at the front of Buriram Ruangsangthai so you can make the right decision.

Thank you for the kind messages sent to me while I was on my business trip to the United States. Imagine my amazement being born in Buriram Thailand and entering the Home Depot Store located in Secaucus Meadowlands New Jersey.  No robots in this home improvement store and the New Jersey employees were hard working and helpful. I took note to compare the 18V DeWALT tools with 5ah batteries with the same power tools I now have in Buriram.
Today I noticed yet another Honda self propelled lawn mower being sent via inexpensive transport to a new customer who lives near Pattaya. FYI the public rest rooms of Ruangsangthai are almost finished with remodeling. No longer will it look like Greyhound or Continental Trailways bus terminal restroom in Buriram. I missed the trip to the Hersey Chocolate factory and our bus went to the "Outlet Mall". It is much warmer in Buriram Thailand than in Fort Wayne Indiana.

When I was on my 2016 Business Trip to the United States I had the opportunity to visit Lowe's Home Improvement Store and Home Depot. One of the brands that seemed highly regarded is the made in the USA Troy Bilt Garden Tractors | Garden Mulchers | Shredders | Chippers. Today I can now offer in Buriram Isaan Thailand the genuine Troy Bilt Shredder Chipper that is built in Tupelo, Mississippi, United States. Two year warranty and actual spare parts in Thailand make this a great option.  The 11.5hp Briggs & Stratton 4 stoke engine make this garden mulcher the medium size I have in stock in Buriram. You will see more made in the USA tools in the weeks prior to the April 3rd to April 9th free Buriram Home Garden Tool Expo to be held in the front parking area of Ruangsangthai.  Thank you, Mr. Pichai.

Maybe the robots will not understand a special order of slate style color through series Shera roof tiles must be sold cheaper than IQ House Home Improvement Store in Buriram. Miss Gift and Miss Jaew work with Mr. Bob and Mr. Nop to offer the best prices on larger orders of home building materials including laminate flooring made in Thailand. Other Home Improvement stores in Buriram may offer made in China laminate flooring. Ruangsangthai is open every day this week. Miss Gift inspected a full truck load of genuine TRS swimming pool salt that arrived Wednesday at Ruangsangthai. The security guard at the loading dock of my family owned store made sure a special order of slate roof tiles for Mr. Andy the UK Builder is stored safely prior to free delivery to a new home in Lam Plai Mat District.

Another mention of praise for the Ruangsangthai Team. I was after a Dremel 3000 Gold Kit. Having located the Gold Kit on Lazada I then contacted Bob at Ruangsangthai who ordered the kit from Bangkok and beat Lazadas price. Arrived 2 days later and has already been put to good use completing some outstanding detail DIY tasks.
I buy the vast majority of my building and DIY stuff from Ruangsangthai and also my pool salt and chemicals. I always recieve excellent assistance and service from Bob and the girls on the foreign desk. Thank you.

Miss Jaew who understands and speaks English is the show presenter for two new home building improvement products now available in Buriram exclusively at Ruangsangthai Hardware. While Jollibee Burgers would be a treat for expats who have traveled to the Philippines or Daly City, California, this franchise restaurant is not yet open in Buriram Thailand. However some very attractive polished stones imported from the Philippines are suitable for a swimming pool edge or in a Buriram home garden are now available in 5kg and 10kg bags at Ruangsangthai. Stones which are not polished are also available in 10kg bags at Ruangsangthai which are a higher grade than local garden shop domestic stones. The 2nd photo is of stone cladding which better Buriram architects or home designers might offer  instead of wallpaper. Light can be projected through this stone veneer for a very attractive breakfast bar counter front. The team in foreign sales will gladly source tools and building products not found in a typical Thailand builders merchants store if the first order is large enough and the product has a distributor in Thailand. Thank you for your support.
