When setting up WIndows 10, it's an absolute MUST to go slow and turn off all the options that will collect and send data to MS

I turned them all off as well.  Fortunately they were all on a couple of screens in the set up.

I've always been a big fan of Windows 7. A few months ago a brought a new Desktop PC and had Windows 10 installed. To my amazement I found it easy to use and anything I wasn't to sure about a quick Google pointed me in the right direction. There is no-way I would go back to Windows 7 now !
My old PC has now been upgrade ,a new CPU and a Windows 10 upgrade at a whopping  of 800Baht     and now my Stepdaughter uses it in her bedroom for homework , Facebook and You Tube......mainly You Tube though   ::)

I have 10 on my Dell laptop and been OK with it, until last month when a supposed upgrade was installed resulting in the laptop never booting.  After researching various fixes (non worked) I ended up having to re-install windows 10 resulting in all the data on the laptop being lost.  In addition all the programs had to be re-installed, I am sill fixing that issue.

Microsoft was less that useful in supporting corrections to the issue:
