90 Day Report
« on: February 27, 2015, 09:05:27 PM »
Appreciate that for many this will be of minimal interest but today I did my first 90 day report at KCI. Arrived just before 10am, no one else waiting. No TM47 required, one uniformed immigration Officer dealt with me immediately and was in and out in 5 minutes. Also, I noted that the other 2 Immigration Officers working were in civilian clothes where as last time I was at KCI for my retirement extension, all were uniformed. Also noticed that the tea money/ tip box was not on the desk.
This was only my 2nd visit to KCI but on both occasions the service has been efficient and friendly. I hope it continues.

I have to go for my next 90 day report next week.  I'll ask them at that time if they are accepting the new online 90 day reporting that's being rolled out in April.  Here's hoping.

They have previously said "No".... see posts from Gotlost.

However, if this is a national system then I can't see that one local office can have an independent approach.

Consider the example of crossing a border point - that constitutes 90 day reporting and the clock starts again. Nobody says "You have to go to your local  immigration office"....  That 90 day report goes straight onto the national immigration computer system.

I'm hopeful, then.  This is a new, national system according to the website.  It goes live in a couple days.

Thai Visa forum is often linked here with no problems .............

Have a look there.

Personally, I enjoy the trip down to Kapchoeng every 90 days to report.

Chill, Admin is fine with links to TV.

After all, the idea of the BE Forum is to HELP expats here.

So garnishing information from other sources (with the exception of direct competitors) is fine.
