Any chance you could translate the time to and from Pattaya?

The website does not show a timetable for Buriram to Pattaya. What they do show is the timetable for Ubon to Pattaya. You will need to add about 5 to 6 hours to the Ubon departure time.

Their call centre, 1624, is free and does have English speakers.

Going to give NCA Bus a try on Tuesday the 8th to Bangkok.  Feeling a bit foolish to drive from Lahansai area to Buriram to catch the bus as it doesn't stop in Nang Rong; but, after reviewing the photos, info and safety record was convinced I should give it a try at 372-B pp.

Just a quick question Bill......Are you planning on coming back to Buriram soon?

If so, you may like to know that Asalha Bucha and Khao Pansa (Buddhist lent) are coming up on 11th and 12th of July. All of the buses coming to Buriram will be booked up.

Thank you for the info and thought.  Our return is probably a year away.
We are still involved in family and community projects in the USA; so, can only 'visit' family, Nong Mee and Thailand for a month or two every year or two.  B.E. forum is my ongoing connection with Buriram Province, along with "Richard Barrow" on Twitter and e"Bangkok Post" Lite for the rest of Thai info.  Have also found the new "Buriram Times" to be quite informative.

Upon our arrival at Bkk, have used a "Limousine" service for the past several years for the final leg to the Lahansai area; however, at B4,500-B6500, have been watching for an alternative and less costly method.  Hoping NCA can fulfill that need.

Hi Bill. The NCA bus will drop passengers at Nang Rong on the return trip from BKK, if that's any help for you.

As you depart from BKK, the hostess girl will come down the aisle asking if anyone wants to get off enroute to Buriram.

Doesn't help much if your car is parked in Buriram though. Cheers.

This post concerns the Nakhon Chai Air daily bus service from Buriram to BKK at 00.10am

Yes ... 10mins past midnight departure.

There is always some confusion by the ticket seller as to the departure date, as NCA curiously consider this departure time as the last trip each day to BKK.

They advertise it as the 2410 departure.

Most Westerners would think it's actually the first trip of a new day and date.

3 times in the past I've been handed a ticket with the incorrect departure date. No amount of pointing to calendars and trying to explain that 00.10 is actually a new day and date makes any difference.

I now explain to the ticket seller that I want to have breakfast in BKK on a particular date, and she sells me the right ticket.

The bus is always full, so the Thai's obviously don't have a ticketing problem. Maybe it's just me having language problems.

ALWAYS check your ticket for correct date of travel.

Anyway ... just thought I'd post this ... as it does seem to be a niggly problem. Only with the 00.10am departure time

Regardless of the above, I still think it's a beaut service. Only gripe would be that they consistently run the aircon way too cold at night. On a recent overnighter to BKK the interior bus temp was 15 degrees according to the saloon display.

Everbody had icycles on their noses. Was freezing. Should be around 25 for comfort.

Once again I recently endured a freezing night trip on NCA bus from BKK back to Buriram. (5.15pm dep BKK)

17 degrees on the digital saloon display. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ......

Somewhere near Saraburi (2hrs into the trip) I pressed the hostess button and quietly suggested to her that maybe the aircon could be a little warmer please. Like .... 24 would be good.

Hostess politely smiled and disappeared up front again. Did the temp change during the next 4 hours ? .... nah .... 17 all the way to Buriram.

Also, I was roundly scolded by my better half sitting next to me for "causing trouble".

Anyway .... I sent off an email to NCA Customer Service explaining that I've now had 4 or 5 similiar freezing trips, and perhaps they could enlighten their drivers that 17 degrees is way too cold for passenger comfort.

Gotta give credit where it's due. Within 2 days I received a nice email from NCA thanking me for my suggestion and it has been noted. This is a nice courteous reply from NCA and good customer service IMHO

Hopefully the driver's will get the message.

Who am I kidding ? ........... nah     :D

Perhaps a monetary incentive might move the temp up a few notches.
