Livestock has warning farmers on animals health care after the climate change.

Livestock of Buriram province has warning the farmers who are raising poultry, pigs, cattles(cows) and buffaloes to be careful and take care of their pet’s health closely after the climate has changed which cause the weather condition changes of hot, cold and raining sometimes which facilitates the spread of diseases easily.

In risk:

- Newcastle disease.

- Bronchitis disease.

- Cholera that often outbreaks in poultry.

- Foot-and-mouth disease or hoof-and-mouth disease that often outbreaks in pigs, cattles(cows) and buffaloes.

Therefore the farmers should keep the place clean and dry and the pets should be given supplements in order to build immunity to prevent infections.

Military give medical services free to children and the elderly

The commander of the provincial military of Buriram province has instructed and organized the doctors from the army hospital named “Khai Somdet Chaophraya Maha Kasatsuek Hospital” to provide the health services.

The instructions on how to keep healthy and a free treatment for the childrens and the elderly at the village named Ban Sari, Moo.5, Sakaesam subdistrict. Which the villagers in the village are poor.

In the addition, also provided health services to the monks at the temple named Wat Sarapee, Samet subdistrict, Mueang district, Buriram province.

Bustling atmosphere in Klong Thom market.

Klong Thom is a bustling market selling a second hand electrical appliances, new clothes, foods, drinks and a second hand clothes which are the products that have most in this market.

The atmosphere in Klong Thom market at Buriram province at Nong Paeb field was lively and bustling with many people purchased second hand winter clothes.

Due to the weather continued to cool down and the latest temperatures dropped to 15 degrees celsius which was decreasing 1 degree celsius from yesterday, the result is that second hand winter clothes are the best seller during this time, the selling prices are between 60 – 80 baht because it’s the clothes that left in stock from the last winter.

A seller said that, in the previous winter the sales average per day was 2,000 – 3,000 baht but during this time the sales is 3,000-5,000 baht per day.

Villagers light bonfires to relief the cold.

Villagers at “Ban Trad Truan” village, Chum Hed subdistrict, Mueang district, Buriram province together light up the bonfires to relief the cold because of the climate continue to cool down and the latest temperatures dropped to 16 degrees celsius at night.

The villagers said that many young and old people were sick with flu and the respiratory diseases, therefore everybody have to maintaining health by making themselves warm by using thick blankets, light up the bonfires and drinking warm drinks.

In addition, the villagers also urged the government to provide winter clothes for the paupers who lack of winter clothes thoroughly.

Villain burning a car of a famous stationery store owners.

The incident occurred early in the morning and the CCTV cameras showed that there were 2 culprit with a motorbike without a license plate driving around the store named “Hang Tieng Hua” which is a famous stationery store in Buriram province located opposite Government Saving bank, thereafter the culprit has poured an oil on the car and lights up a fire.

The police assume that it may be an action of high-spirited youths or a business competitors.

Patients with respiratory disease increased 1,700 person per day after the weather cooled down again.

Due the climate variability during this period that caused raining and colder weather which has resulted the temperatures dropped to 17 degrees celsius.

In addition, also resulted in people have sickness with respiratory diseases such as the flu (influenza), pneumonia.

Which is only in Buriram hospital the amount of patients has increased about 1,700 person per day, therefore the hospital has extended the service hours of clinic from the normal working day that Monday – Friday the clinic will serve until 16:00 pm but this period was extended until 20.00pm.

Therefore the doctor ( director of Buriram hospital) has warned the public to maintain the health by keeping the body warmth, exercise regularly, wear appropriate clothing and helpful eating. Especially children and the elderly who have a low immunity system should maintain their health specially.

Taweekit Supercenter set Donation Box to assist victims in Japan.

Mr.Maitree Rotjanasinvilai, the executive director of Supercenter Company Limited together with Board of Directors has set a donation box infront of ‘Taweekit supercenter’ department store of Buriram branch, Issan subdistrict, Buriram province to aid the victims of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan.

The total amount of money donated within 2 days is 18,849 baht.

The ‘Taweekit Supercenter’ has delivered the money donated through Channel 3 (TV channel) to be donated to the World Food Program and to assist the earthquake and tsunami disaster victims in Japan futher.

Employment Office is warning workers to beware being deceived to work in Laos.

Mr.Aitthi Phongveerawat from the employment office has alert the workers who want to work in oversea that, do not be naive and be careful of recruitment companies offering to work abroad and illegal agents that are trying to deceive by claiming that they can send the workers to work abroad with a company named “ALP Development and Construction of irrigation Company Limited” in Laos country and the workers didn’t get their salary.

Therefore the employment office would like to announce that the story as above is not true and also said that now there are 115 Thai workers at various provinces who were deceived by those companies which are not working through the Department of Employment and Thailand’s legal process properly.

Therefore cause the problem of accrued wages of the employers which now those workers who been deceived are in process of assistance from the Department of Employment and the Consulate at Savannakhet province in Laos country to return the Thai workers back to Thailand.

Buriram requested the budget to pump water to back up water supply.

Mr.Vichian Sintao, the manager of Provincial Waterworks Authority of Buriram province have recently indicated that the water in Huai Jor Ra Khe Mak reservoir is left only 7.8 million cubic meters from the reservoir storage capacity over 26 million cubic meters, Which is the source of water for use in producing water supply to the public over 20,000 household in Mueang district and Huai Rat district.

Currently the remaining water in this reservoir is in crisis and it is feared that the water will not be enough for producing water supply to the public during the dry season.

Therefore it has proposed budget request to the Waterworks Authority for 1 million baht for the costs of pumping the water from “Huai Talad” reservoir to be stored in “Huai Jor Ra Khe Mak” reservoir to be backup for producing the water supply.

Former village leader taken back the donated land.

The present village leader of Ban khok Phrao, Swai Jeek subdistrict, Mueang district, Buriram province together with the villagers approx 100 people has submited a letter to request for a fairness to the Provincial Justice office of Buriram province.

The villagers said that Mr.Paet Kumram, age 62 years old (the former of village leader) has informed the police to claim the ownership of land which has been created the village’s pavilion for 9 years now. Which it is the land that he has donated for the village while he was in the village leader position in order to build the village’s pavilion (village hall) but he take it back to be his private land after his official retirement and has installed a fence around the village’s pavilion and informed to the police as above.

In addition, the villagers said that while he was in the village leader position he has donated his land to build the village’s pavilion but does not have a contract written to transfer land, have only a verbal contract and have villagers in the village as witnesses recognition only.

Boxing charity match will take a place on 31st March 2011.

Mr.Amnuay Panna, Mr.Prasert Krajangjit and Mr.Siri Sihaboonnatan are the boxing promoters and representative group of students of Master’s degree, Law Faculty of Ramkhamhaeng University in Buriram province has joint press conference to organize a charity boxing match.

The boxing match will be held in the boxing stadium at the Center for Sports Authority of Thailand of Buriram province on Thursday, March 31st 2011.

The revenue will be divided into three parts as bellow:

1. The revenues will be supported in the project of the traffice division of Buriram police station,

the project named “wearing helmet and drunk do not drive campaign”.

2. The revenues will be used to build a fence for the Ramkhamhaeng University in Buriram province.

3. The revenues will be donated to assist the victims in Japan which will be delivered through the Ministry of Interior.

A brass bell was stolen from Temple.

A brass bell weighing 45 kgs and worth 10,000 baht was stolen from Wat Mueang Fai, Mueang Fai subdistrict, Nong Hong district, Buriram province.

The unknown the number of culprits has steal the brass bell while monks has been to the Ordination ceremony, which was 400 meter away from the temple.

This has created despondency to the villagers greatly as it is a brass bell that villagers has donated to the temple.

Doctor shortages in Buriram.

Buriram hospital has organized the orientation of medical students ceremony and give the uniforms of “doctor in training” to the 4th year medical student, 3rd generation which are 24 persons at the conference room, floor 9th, Medical Science building, Buriram hospital.

The orientation of medical students ceremony has organized to guide the basic informations, rules, regulations, the corporate culture, life in school and also to cultivate a medical student to has a moral, ethics and have a positive attitude towards the profession in order to obtain high quality graduates in the future.

In addition, also to show the potential of the Center for Clinical Medical Science education of Buriram hospital which was established in 2006 to be a medical institutions together with the Institute of Medicine of Suranaree Technology University of Nakhon Ratchasima province, which will open the admission for students for 48 people per year in the area of Nakornchai Burin, Nakhon Ratchasima province, Chaiyaphum province, Buriram province and Surin province.

The target of 2011 is to expand the admission for the medical students to be 60 people to resolve the shortage of Physicians and nurses to serve patients which has increased as well.

Buriram has accelerate requests for artificial rain to help the farmers.

Provincial agriculture office has requested the Artificial rain operations center in Khon Kaen province to operate flights to scatter chemicals to make artificial rain to fill the water in the reservoirs as in many areas are experiencing drought.

In addition, also to help the farmers who grow short-lived plants (crops) and off-season rice for both inside and outside the service area of the Irrigation in every districts which are over 100,000 rais and have reported that over 10,000 rais began affected from the water shortages.

Now the artificial rain operations center has started operating flights to sprinkle chemicals to make the artificial rain already but have the air quality problems, therefore the result of making artificial rain does not work as expected.

Football match between “Buriram PEA” (The Thunder Castles) with “Chonburi F.C.” (“The Sharks Blue Blood”) has held at “I-Mobile Stadium” located near Khao Kradong mountain,Samet sub-district,Muang district,Buriram province.

Mr.Navin Chidchob ( The Chairman of “BURIRAM PEA” THUNDER CASTLE ) and

his wife Mrs.Karuna Chidchob ( The Chairman of “BURIRAM FC” LAVA FIRE )

has been to this football match with the fans club approx 23,212 people.

The score of first half was 1-0 and in the second half Buriram PEA make 2 more score.

Miracle-working of the ancient buddha has been found in the canal.

Monk (the abbot) in “Wat Hua Chang Nong Choeng” has been doing meditation for a mental prayer and saw ancient buddha in the mud underwater in his premonition.

Thereafter monks and villagers together with a news reporter (the correspondent) went to the river which is located in the boundaries area of Satuk district of Buriram province and Chumphon Buri district of Surin province according the premonition of the monk and has held up a worship ceremony of make offering to the spirit before starting to search for the Buddha as above.

Thereafter only 2 minutes of searching has found the ancient buddha in the mud underwater as in the premonition of the monk.

The ancient buddha that was found is in the perfect condition which have approximately size of 30 inches width and 1.20 meters height and now is in the temple named “Wat Hua Chang Nong Choeng” located in Muang Kae subdistrict, Satuk district, Buriram province.

Donation center in Buriram to assist victims in Japan.

Local administration office of Buriram province has organized a donation center to assist the victims in Japan.

More than 4,000 officials from 23 districts has attended the opening ceremony which held in front of Buriram city hall.

Received donations are total of more than 50,000 baht already.

In addition, the province governor of Buriram will coordinate to all 23 districts to open a donation center in their area to assist victims in Japan, then the province will collect all the money donated to be delivered through the Ministry of Interior for assistance to the victims in Japan futher.
