Canteen in Buriram Rajabhat university has been affected from egg prices.
 
The sellers in the canteen of Buriram Rajabhat university has been affected from egg prices that have been rising continuously which made the sellers to have higher costs but have to sell in an original price for 20 per dish as it’s the policy of the University because students have no income.
 

That made the sellers to change the food menu to be another instead of eggs menu and requested the government to seek measures to help consumers.

Farmer has requested to release water from reservoirs.
 
Farmers at Ban Bua, Muang ,Buriram has requested to the irrigation department to release water from reservoirs for agriculture to farmers of 120 households, after a delay in farming for two months because the irrigation department has suspended release water for agriculture because afraid that the water will not be enough for the consumption and the farmers has been suffered because of no water for the farming.

Flimflammer gang spoof selling low quality of rice.
 
Incidence happened at “Soh resort” restuarant at Nang Rong district. 

The gang behavior is to come with the truck that carried rice full on the truck and claim it as a genuine jasmine rice then used the drilling equipment to sacks of rice and rice will flow out as Jasmine rice, then the seller offered a lower price than the market price. 

Thereafter the buyer has detected that in the other sacks of rice are not jasmine rice but it’s a low quality rice.

Farmers accelerated pumping water into the rice fields.
 
At Chum Het subdistrict, Muang district, Buriram province, the farmers were accelerating pumping the water from the roadside canal into the rice fields after experiencing a drought problems over a month, even incur costs several of thousand baht to purchase fuel input the pumping machine which affected the cost of planting rice and has increased more than last year and urge the governments to determine the purchase price of rice in to the high price.

Conflagration at Lamplaimat School.

 
Mr.Peerasak Hinmuangkao (Buriram Provincial governor) with the police of “Lamplaimat police station” and “Division forensics officers of Buriram province” has into the area to checked the building remaining after the fire incident last night.
The building that has been on fire was used to store the Supplies, Musical equipment, Bicycle for a student ( of the project of “Borrow bicycle to student”) and Agricultural equipment of the school names “Ban Van Kier Kaw”, Khok Sa Ad subdistrict, Lamplaimat district, Buriram province which caused damage to the whole building.
The preliminary damage estimated at 100,000 Baht.

A villager drowned while seeking shells in a pond.
 
The dead person named Mr.Huai Gaanram, 40 years old, address Ban Nong Pai, Lak Khet subdistrict, Muang, Buriram and the body was found in a pond at cornfield behind the village that his symptoms of epileptic recur while seeking shells in the pond and died by drowning in knee-deep water level.

People tune their satellite receiver machines to a new frequency tuning for World Cup.
 
Atmosphere at Buriram city is lively with number of people tuned their satellite receiver machines to a new frequency tuning after FIFA blocked the signals of World Cup broadcast which made the monitor dark and can not watch the games because television channels stations has changed the satellite receiver channels. 

The range of this time, there are people who has been installed the satellite receiver machines black color has brought the machine to a new frequency tuning. 

There are more than 30 persons per day and services being charged 100 baht (THB) per machine which create a good income for the shops while many shops have also set up tents, tables and chairs for customers to watch the World Cup broadcast on a large screen, throughout the World Cup season 2010.

Buriram dispensation large water storage tanks to villages experiencing drought.
 
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Buriram province has cooperated with Prakhon Chai district to distribute a large water storage tanks of 2,000 liters capacity, for the villages that experiencing with water shortage for consumption from a drought in the region of Prakhon Chai district, in 170 villages in order to be installed at temple, school or the capitol of the village to collect and store water from rain. 

After the Governors has approved 33 millions baht to purchasing water containers accommodate 2,000 Liter size to distributed to the villages experiencing a drought, which there are 2,411 villages of buriram province.

Buriram Provincial governor (Mr.Peerasak Hinmuangkao) has revealed that will prosecuted the officials who have behavior on gambling football or involved with the Football gamblers or facilitation in football betting during World Cup 2010. 

The punishments are both the disciplinary offence and law, decisively without omissions. Especially the disciplinary offence may be fired.

Buriram farmers flock to the pawnshop.
 
The farmers at buriram province are facing with the financial problems and brought valuables things to pawn at Buriram Municipal Pawnshop, especially a gold ornaments that have a value in the pawning of 14,000 baht per baht weight in gold. 

The money from pawning will be used as wages and the cost of fuel in tillage sowing for planting rice in this season. 

Anywise, pawnshop expected that in this rice planting season will have more farmers come to use the services of pawnshop than last year because the costs of planting rice has increased.

Forereach starch solution aphid outbreak in Buri Ram.
 
The Department of Agriculture has visited cassava farmers at Pa Kham district, in order to provide knowledge about how to prevent and eliminate aphid outbreak in tapioca farm by take cassava species to plating in chemicals before will be planted and recommend the farmers to spray the agricultural in chemicals to control the outbreak in the area where the outbreak is severe but also found that farmers in many areas are not cooperate in operation as recommended of the staff and this makes the aphid outbreak continued. 

Buriram province has outbreak area more than 130,000 rai in 14 districts, damage worth more than 80 million Baht. 

The districts have the most outbreaks are Pa Kham district, Non Suwan district, Nong Ki district, Ban Kruat district, Lahan Sai district, Non Din Daeng district, Satuk district and Khu Muang district from the cultivated areas of buriram province of more than 288,000 rai.

Concluded Subtotal damaged homes at Buriram province from Summer Storm.
 
Mr.Sopon Jaroenporn ( Chief of Relief department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Buriram province) has revealed that in the past two months ( April – May ) in the regions of buriram province, more than 1,000 households has been damaged from the summer storm in 10 districts, the most damaged district is Prakon Chai district, Satuk district, Khaen Dong district, Ban Kruat district and Lahan Sai district. 

The province has provided assistance to the people who affected by summer storms which have more than 540 cases in the amount of more than 1,380,000 Baht and the remaining are in the process of helping which is expected to be completed by the end of this June.

Citizens and students flock to expiate television for World Cup season.
 
At Buriram province, the pawn shops are busy during the World cup because of the citizens and students who went to redeem their Television. The amount of people who redeemed their Television is more than usual prior months, while the amount of people pawning Television was reduced by 20 percent, The amount of people pawning a gold ornaments has increased to be 400 cases per day when normally was 200-300 cases per day.

Buriram province, Teachers has prepared the room for the students to watch the World Cup tape during lunch time or idle hours during the World Cup season that will not affect study and enhance the children love to exercise by playing sports, away from drugs and using spare time efficiently.

100 villagers has complaint to the Municipal to solve the problem of the Putrid Water.
 
Villagers from 7 villages at Ban Dan subdistrict, Ban Dan district, Buriram province have jointly issued complaint after they have suffered from polluted water supply problems that’s foetid, turbidity and sediments which makes people have rashes and itching over the body after bathing and did not dare to bring water for cooking because fear that it would be dangerous for their health. 

Some households must invest money to buy water from the water truck at 150 baht per tank to solve immediate problems. 

The villagers from 7 villages which all about 1,200 households have been suffering with the putrid water supply for about one year now.

Buriram instructed every school to surveillance the students gambling World Cup. 

 
  

The Office of Education Service Area of Buriram province has issued an order to all schools to surveillance and do not let students to gamble the World Cup games and ask cooperation from teachers and parents to monitor students behavior closely to prevent the World Cup bettings at schools and other places during the World Cup competition beginning on 11th June 2010.  

Apart from affect on learning, Gambling also destroying the reputation of school and may be prosecuted or suspended of school immediately. 

Anywise, the school will bring the tape record of football match to open for students watching during lunch or idle hours that will not affect learning.

Buri Ram granted school building made from recycled milk boxes . 

 
 
Buriram is the first province that been granted a school building which made from recycled milk boxes .
 

The first school in Thailand that been granted a school building made from recycled milk boxes is ” Wat Ban Sanuan” school, Sanuan subdistrict, Huai Rat district, Buriram province. It’s a one-storey school building which have four of classrooms. The walls, ceiling, including 200 series of chair and desk which made from more than one millions boxes of recycled milk boxes from Mr.Kriangsak Theppadungporn ( Managing director of Ampol Food Processing Ltd. ).The building above created as an example way of reducing global warming and environmentally friendly. 

And also for a memorial in remembrance of the good intentions of Mr.Thanakrit Jaroenram ( Teacher of Wat Ban Sanuan School ) who was died from cancer. Before he died, he has brought collections of an old currency notes and coins that he collected since childhood to an auction to raise money for the school building construction for his students and this is the source of this building name, ” Thanakrit Jaroenram building”.

school bus overturned into the roadside canal. 


 
The Six-wheel vehicle, Isuzu brand, Plate 81 – 3683 Buriram, carried more than 30 students from the school to be sent home in Muang Fang sub-district and Song Hong sub-district, But the vehicle has overturned into the roadside canal, on the 3rd Km of Buriram-Nangrong road in the moment of heavy rain and strong wind gust. All students were injured, 13 people were seriously injured, Mostly students have had broken their arms and legs.
 

All were taken to hospitals and fortunately none of the injuries were life threatening. 

In preliminary, police assumed that the reason might be from slippery road from the heavy rain.

Buriram suspended release water from 22 places of reservoirs.  

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

  

Mr.Pramot Ponpananavee ( Cheif of Water distribution department and improving irrigation systems of Buriram province ) has informed that the department have to suspended release water for agriculture to farmers from the reservoirs both large and medium all 22 reservoirs, which is area of rice cultivation of more than 206,000 rai. After all 22 of the reservoirs has water remained 139 million cubic meters (or the average amount of water remaining is 46.76 percent of total capacity 298 million cubic meters) and the Department of Meteorology issued a warning that might be no rain fall during June-July therefore will not have enough water for consumption.

Buriram city new moat near Night market construction progress report: 

 

As you can see in the gallery, the work is in extensive progress and it looks good. 

Buriram is renovating the city these days and building a new moat just on the entrance to the night market of buriram town, the moat is very big; start on Jira road on the night market entrance continue on Khu Mueang road and connect back on Jira road down further. Great place to take a walk, relax and of course, exercise. :) Enjoy.

Buriram police prepared to issue arrest warrant for a gunman. 



Buriram police has tracked the progress of the case of the Soccer referee of the thai premier league has been attacked on the road that connect between Nong Bot sub-district – Hua Tanon sub-district road , Nang Rong district, Buriram province by the criminals who drove a 4 doors pickup, unknown brand and registration number that used the guns as a weapon and fired two shots on the rear bumper and one shot on the door of the driver side and two tires behind. 

After the officials has drafted the faces of criminals from the investigation of the victims and thereafter the police has prepared to issue arrest warrant. 

In preliminary, Police assumed that it was the actions of the football fans who not satisfied the judge decisions but the actions aimed in threatened life.

Disagreement of the road construction of “bypass road projects” at Nang Rong district.

Mr.Sakonsarit Boonpradit (The Deputy Governor of Buriram Province) has meeting with the Committee resolve to road construction of “bypass road projects” with both opposition group and support group. 

The purposes of the meeting was to find conclusions for reducing conflicts of the people after each group has out to protest. The opposition group has said that if have a construction of the road, it will effect the villagers – more than 500 houses that mostly are a residential and shops area. 

While the support group said that it will bring prosperity to Nang Rong district and reduce the congestion of the traffic in the future also. 

During the meeting both sides have been disputing but finally, the majority opinions in the meeting was to suspend construction. 

After close the meeting, The Deputy Governor said that within two weeks, the officials will survey to estimate the effectation in case have the construction and thereafter will make a meeting again to find conclusions and will lead the resolution of approval propose to the Department of Highways and the Ministry of Transport for the consideration.
