The 2nd time of selling Palm oil from government.

The Internal Trade office of the Buriram province has brought 1,000 boxes of palm oils to sell to the public for the 2nd time in the area infront of community hall which is located behind the City Hall in the price of 47 baht per bottle and limited for 2 bottle per household only.

The Ministry of Commerce said that will allocate the Palm oil to the Internal Trade office of the province to sell to the public for 1,000 boxes per week.

The Internal Trade office has said that the office has received complaints about group of people take the members of family and employees in shop to stand in queues to buy the palm oil and do that more than one round to get many bottles of palm oil to sell later in a higher price, which the Internal Trade office staff has found one person with such behavior as above therefore he has been warned. If found a behavior as above again. It will be prosecuted by law.

Shop selling cooked food (Instant curry) are suffering greatly from Palm Oil shortages.

After the palm oil prices has increased and in short supply and also the stores has limited the amount of purchase as below:

- The public can buy one bottle per household only.

- The merchants can not buy more than three bottles.

This has impact the merchants who are selling cooked food because each day have to use oil in cooking average of 5-6 kg (kilogram) per day. Especially the kind of food that have to fry that have to use alot of oil and from the affected as above, the merchants has solve the immediate problems by taking the members of family and employees in shop to stand in queues to buy the palm oil bottles and doing like that about 3 round per person.

Therefore the merchants in Buriram province has urged to the government to accelerate solving the problem to help alleviate the suffering of the people urgently.

People relaxing and swimming at “Lam Nang Rong” Dam.

After the weather has warmed up which is now the temperatures in Buriram province is 36 degrees Celsius.

This has resulted to “Lam Nang Rong Dam” increase of people visiting the place and tourists both local and provincial and those traveling through has taken their family to relax and sit for diner in various kiosks and swimming to relieve the heat.

This has resulted the merchants to have an income from selling foods and drinks about 2,000-3,000 baht per day and Business of rubber rings swimming for rent have an income about 400-500 baht from usually their income is about 100-200 baht per day.

“Lam Nang Rong Dam” is located at Non Dindaeng district, Buriram province, which is one of an important natural attractions of Buriram province as well.

Officers and people flock to buy palm oil under Thong Fah program (Transliterates ‘Blue Flag’ in English).

In Buriram province, the officers and people were queued to buy palm oil bottled which is a product under Thong Fah program that the Internal Trade office of Buriram province has brought to sell infront of community hall which is located behind the City Hall (the community pavilion of buriram province) in a selling price of 47 baht per bottle which is cheaper than the market price and the distribution is limited for two bottles per household only.

After receiving quota allocation from the ‘Ministry of Commerce’ of 1000 boxes which is 12,000 bottles of palm oil.

In order to alleviate the affliction of people after palm oil in short supply and the prices has increased to 55-60 baht per bottle created hardship to consumers and the merchants who sell food.

In addition, also has allocated the palm oil for 4 places of wholesale place for 200 boxes per place in order to distribute in the same price to people who consume and also to reduce the shortages and the high prices problem.

The Internal Trade of Buriram province has said that the Ministry of Commerce will allocate the Palm oil to the Internal Trade office of the province to sell to the public for 1,000 boxes per week, continuously.

Explanation:

The blue flags program (Thong Fah) is that the program member’s businesses are selling food and products in lower prices than market prices (reasonable price) and the program member’s businesses will be promoted and publicised by the Commerce Ministry.

Moreover, the Commerce ministry will also provide the members with low-cost resources such as Saha Farm, CP, and those who produce vegetable oil and milk.

Preparation of air raid shelter in 2 districts near border.

Deputy provincial governor of Buriram have recently confirmed that after the incident of clashes between Thai Military and Cambodia at Si Sa Ket border province which is around 5th.

Buriram Province have not put an extra troops along the border areas and the people who live along the border have not been affected by the situation that happened.

In preliminary, Buriram province has ordered 2 districts which are Ban Kruat district and Lahan Sai district to organize the officers to patrol, monitor, surveillance and clarify to make people in the area understand and acknowledge the situation and build the morale to people not to panic because the area of conflicts is remote.

Also has coordinated with the organization of local government and the village leaders of every village along the border areas

to explore and improve the air raid shelters to be available and also has ordered to prepare a safe place as evacuation centers for the people in the risk area.

“Call Center” gang raid in Buriram province again.

Mr.Jarueng Fasantia, aged 60 years old, teacher occupation at Nong Hong district has inform to the police that he was shammed by Call Centre Gang that fool him to transfer the money of 110,000 baht to their bank account.

He has provided the details the police that he has received a phone call from a guy which claimed he is a staff of the Kasikorn bank calling to inform that he has an outstanding debt amount of 36,000 baht and if there is money in another account then the account will be frozen as well.

Thereafter has connected him to talk with another person who claimed that he is an officer from DSI (Department Of Special Investigation) and told him to check his bank account balance at ATM machine to see if he still have all of his money in the bank account.

He believed the guy and followed the steps that the “Call Centre Gang” told him and found that all of his money is still in the bank account. Then the “Call Center Gang” told him to change password in order to lock the database in the bank account and he has followed all the steps as he was told by the “Call Center Gang”.

After all completed transactions therefore he checked his bank account balance again but it appeared that he have lost money in the bank account amount of 110,000 baht.

Remaining money in bank account was only 59 baht.

5 districts has been declared as controlled area wildfires.


Prevention and Mitigation of Buriram Province has warning people and farmers to abstain burning rice stubble or any various weeds during the dry season because of fear the fire will spread and cause forest fires.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has declared 5 districts in Buriram province:

- Non Din Daeng district.

- Pakham district.

- Lahan Sai district.

- Ban Kruat district and Chaloem Phra Kiat district.

These districts are adjacent to the Wildlife Sanctuary and National Forest Reserve to be a wildfire control area because these areas usually caused forest fire on a regular basis during the dry season every year.

The statistics from the past year shows that it has caused forest fire 28 times and created damaged to the forests of more than 3,000 rai. Therefore the farmers were asked to abstain from burning rice straw, cob corn, grass and weeds in their own land during this period.

Blood donations requested to back up for the Military border.

Red cross of Buriram province together with Buriram hospital has exposure to blood donation at the auditorium of Bua Luang School, Ban Bua subdistrict, Muang district, Buriram province to stock up to provide an assistance to the military that practices the duties on maintain peace and protect the sovereignty of Thailand at the border area.
After the incident at the border clashes at Si Sa Ket province and also to back up to provide an assistance to the people who might be injured if have clashes between Thai Military and Cambodians.
In addition, it will be stored in a blood bank in various hospitals to assistance to the patients and victims of accidents as well.

Fraud gang been arrested by Buriram police.

Mr.Thongsai Pudpeng 45 years old,

Mr.Lamull Thipkrathok 47 years old

Both are residents at Dong E Jarn subdistrict, Non Suwan district, Buriram province and Mrs.Sombut Hasung 45 years old, reside at Nong Ra Weang subdistrict, Pimai district, Nakonratchasima province.

Both were together patroling and fraud scam people in Nong Hong district by persuading the public to participate in “Cooperative of Green River Power land Limited” by claiming as its a project of the government and people who participate will be allocated land at Nong Bua district, Nakonsawan province for 10 rais per person but must pay a registration fee of 1000 baht per person to join the project.

There are many villagers who believed and had paid the money to the gang as described above.

From the investigation they confessed that they were together patroling and fraud scam people in many provinces like Nakonsawan province, Sukhothai province, Nakonratchasima province and Roiet province. Which more than 100 people have been scammed.

Rubber plantation increased after prices soaring.

Rubber prices rise continuously, latest price is 163 baht per kilogram which is an incentives price resulting farmers in Buriram Province turned to rubber plantation increasingly.

Presently, Buriram province has a rubber plantation area (rubber farms) more than 180,000 rais which now over 80,000 rais of rubber trees can be tapping latex.

In the past year there was the latex yield of 2,400 tons created revenues to farmers over 2,400 millions baht resulting farmers turned to rubber plantations increasingly more than 10,000 rais per year.

In addition, the Fund for Promotion of rubber plantations is also encouraging by held the project called “The new rubber plantation project” stage 3 during the year 2011-2013 for 800,000 rais which is the total quotas for the whole country.

Buriram province has recieved a quota for 30,000 rais.

It is believed that this year farmers will plant more rubber than all last year up to 15,000 rai.

Gold sales during Chinese New Year decreased more than 50 percent.

Gold trading atmosphere during Chinese New Year according various of gold shops in Buriram province was relatively quiet, not busy like all the past years.

It may be due to the high price of gold as now the gold price is more than 20,000 baht per one-baht-weight gold which is unprecedented of gold price (record-breaking).

Therefore the Thai Chinese descent are giving Aung Pao money (“Aung Pao money” is “money in red envelope” ) to their descendants and employees instead of buying gold as gifts, which resulting in gold sales during the Chinese New Year this year decreased more than 50 percent and also during this period people do not have confidence in the world market price of gold because the gold price have been fluctuating continuously so mostly people are selling gold other than buying gold.

“Headstone Placed ceremony” of a new government center.

A chairman of the Parliament and the Council of Representatives (Mr.Chai Chidchob) and Minister of Interior ( Mr.Chaowarut Charnveerakul) together are presided in the “Headstone Placed ceremony” of a new government center.

The new government center of Buriram province is located at Khok Khao Kradong, Samet subdistrict, Muang district, Buriram province in the area fo 400 rais under the budget for the construction of more than 485.8 million baht.

The reason for requiring the construction of the new Government Center due the original city hall condition was deteriorating as the building has been used for over 42 years.

The new building will be constructed as a 4-story and the auditorium room with capacity of 1,000 people.

By starting the construction contract from the date of December 30th, 2010 and the scheduled for completion on December 13th, 2013 which believed that the new government center will be particularly useful because government offices will be in the same area. Therefore the services to the public will be much more convenient.
